God’s Hand, a CityGate 219 Community Ministry

Columbus Christian Center Church (CCC) is passionate about impacting lives in the community, specifically targeting the 43219 zip code. Our community ministry initiative is affectionately called “CITYGATE 219″.
God’s Hand (previously known as Food Initiative) was birthed in August 2013 out of Pastor Forbes’ heart to serve the community. It is a monthly community ministry that supplements food for families in need through partnership with the Mid-Ohio Food Bank and CCC members. Since August 2013, we have blessed over 29,400 people with more than 267,000 food items. This number has steadily increased over the years. This outreach is typically held on the 3rd Saturday of each month and is FREE to the community.

There is a dedicated team of partners who serve to ensure that God’s Hand flows in excellence. Countless hours are spent monthly to inventory items, place food orders, rotate stock, shop for additional items, unload trucks, and set-up/restore the facility. This team has a deep passion for ministering to the community. They serve in excellence, and absolutely enjoy what they do.

Families that are recipients of this ministry often remark about the love that is shown and how it has impacted their family during times of need.
